8 Minute Beautiful Body Workout: Work It Out Wednesday

Remember when I told you about that BexLifer who drove all the way from Canada to run with me in the Philadelphia Color Run? Well, Marcela (aka @emcee_sqrd on twitter & instagram) one-upped HERSELF and totally made me cry real tears with the most awesome birthday gift ever.

I will keep this card FOREVER!!

I’m absolutely in love with everything she sent, including the adorable lululemon booty shorts and matching headband. There was no way I wasn’t going to wear them for my very next workout… and thank God for tiny clothes, because it was no less than 96 degrees on my sunporch during the shoot.

And this shoot was going to be so much fun, because it’s another challenge workout! When I put the call out to my FitFluential and SweatPink Ambassador friends for new workout routines, they delivered BIG TIME.

This week’s workout challenge is from Tamara of FitKnitChick.com (I don’t knit, but anything having to do with “fit” and “chicks” is kickass is my book). She’s a mom-of-3, a super-knowledgable personal trainer, a clean-eater and a knitter (sending subliminal vibes to Tamara for custom knit booty shorts ~~~)

She’s also a huge fan of short, effective workouts, so she gave us one that will get us HOT & SWEATY in 8 minutes flat. I’m stumbling all over this video, so you can believe it works. Try it out, and remember to let me know how you did in the comments!!

My gear: Ultimate Sandbag in Pink
Plank Cobra mat with heat-grip technology

– Exercise 1: Ultimate Sandbag sumo squats
– Exercise 2: Spiderman pushups
– Exercise 3: Side plank dumbbell lifts
– Exercise 4: Ultimate Sandbag hops
– Perform each exercise for 45 seconds with 15 seconds rest in between
– Repeat the entire round for a total of 2 rounds
