sometimes we wear matching outfits to magazine events
I’m pretty sure Sarah is going to kill me for calling her a YouTube legend/goddess/fitness hero, but it’s true! She paved the way for all of us fitness-bloggers-turned-YouTubers and has been an amazing friend and mentor to all of the biggest fitness names on YouTube. She would never say any of that, so I feel compelled to sing her praises.
As host of her own YouTube channel and creator of SarahFit.com, she’s single-handedly “enabling your passion for healthy living” while remaining unapologetically real about what it means to be fit and healthy – and for her, that sometimes means indulging in one or a few cocktails.
dinner, drinks & tiger claw with Theodora (Losing Weight in the City) in NYC
Last Wednesday, Sarah and I met up in NYC for some good times and yoga. First, I had to stop by the Veria studios to record some last-minute voiceovers for my show Got Zen? that is PREMIERING THIS SATURDAY AT 8AM!!!
monitors and my very messy scripts thrown all over the control room desk
Then we FLEW over to Strala Yoga for class with my old boss, friend, and yoga SUPERSTAR, Tara Stiles. Like tourists, we panicked and spent $30 on an illegal cab for a 2.0 mile ride downtown. Whatever it takes for yoga!
we are dumb. and $30 less rich.
We ended the night with dinner and drinks with our pal Theodora from Losing Weight in the City – she’s lost 50 pounds! Sarah took the opportunity to videotape my post-margarita ramblings and post them on YouTube. Yup.
In addition to this being a “You Have 4 Minutes With…” interview, it’s also a special Blissed In ™ Seal of Approval picks video for April. Check out details about what I’m currently swooning over below the video.
SarahFit.com // Sarah Dussault
I’ve made so many friends on YouTube over the years, but Sarah was my first fitness blogger/YouTuber friend. I’ve looked up to her for guidance since the beginning. From challenging workouts to recipes to 20/20 style reporting on important health & fitness issues, her style and range of video topics set her apart from the rest and establish her as a smart and reliable source of valuable health and wellness information.
Strala Yoga NYC // Tara Stiles
In January 2010, Tara Stiles invited me to her old studio on Broadway in NYC and introduced me to yoga I could fall in love with. If you haven’t been with me from the beginning, you may not know that it was only a few years ago that I was hating on yoga all over the internet. Not only did Tara make me a convert, but she later invited me to teach yoga at Strala. Tara is paving the way for rebel yogis and yoginis – making her own rules, writing best-selling books, and launching her own sportswear line with Reebok.

MishogaWear // Mish Volonino
I recently discovered MishogaWear on twitter and on the body of my friend, Ashley Albrand. The hand-sewn, hand-dyed, lovingly designed pieces in this line are positively divine. I wore three pieces in my new Strong & Slim by Summer yoga series, and I’m wearing my Chakra leggings again in today’s video. They have crystals on them. LOVE!
Delta Labs // Nutritional Supplements for Women
I’ve been talking about them for days all over my social platforms, but I wanted to list Delta Labs in my Blissed In ™ list, too. Here’s their mission statement:
At Delta Labs, our mission is to develop the highest quality, most affordable and comprehensive line of women’s health and wellness formulas founded on scientific research. We’re committed to helping every woman feel renewed, empowered, and excited about life, and strive daily to provide unsurpassed customer care to help every woman achieve her best.
DISCLOSURE: MishogaWear provided my leggings, and I am a Brand Ambassador for Delta Labs. Sarah and Tara are just plain awesome. All opinions are my own, no matter what.
