Dear Grownups with Little Writers,

In fall 2020, we invited young writers (ages 9 – 14) to participate in an enriching and groundbreaking live, online workshop series presented by independent children’s publisher Wheat Penny Press. The 6-part series culminated in the opportunity for every child to submit their story to our Little Writers Big Change Anthology!

We had the most amazing voices in the children’s and young adult literary spaces lined up, and now you can sign up to watch the replays for free! Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting access for your little writer.

About Wheat Penny Press and Our Mission

Wheat Penny Press was founded to help children build resiliency and reframe their role in the world narrative through inspiring stories focused on empowerment and emotional wellness. We’re also dedicated to signing and supporting authors and illustrators who hold marginalized dentities.

And because the representation of Black, brown, LGBTQ+, and disabled children and their stories matters for ALL children, we are committed to publishing diverse books and distributing them across library systems, schools, and social media through our nonprofit, the WPP Little Readers Big Change Initiative.

The WPP Little Readers Big Change Initiative is our registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides children new paths to healing, better communication, and stronger relationships through dynamic, inclusive storytelling and events led by industry experts. Since beginning our efforts in 2019, we have gifted thousands of books and wellness tools to schools and organizations in under-resourced areas.
