I am ADDICTED to working out with other trainers. No matter what industry you’re in, if you want to be successful, it’s important to never stop learning. I get so much inspiration and learn so many new techniques just by spending time with colleagues, sharing ideas and working up a serious sweat.
Andre “Dre” Farnell is a what we call a “manbassador” over at FitFluential. I met the fitness expert and author of The Fitness Blueprint at the Fitness Magazine Meet & Tweet in May, and we immediately decided that it would be awesome to collaborate on a video.

Another thing that I’m addicted to is visitors coming out to the farm. I was so amped when Dre offered to drive down to shoot a BEXLIFE™ workout. He also asked me to do an interview with him for his YouTube channel… like, duh, of course! I LOVE talking about myself. Kidding! (ok, I’m not)
I also got Dre to sit down AFTER our workout for an impromptu interview in front of the Chicken Castle (which was completely bugging him out). He was dropping so much knowledge on me throughout the day – way too much to share in one blog post – that I felt like I had to give you just a little taste of his amazing philosophy. Off-camera, Dre also shared his story of growing up in Brooklyn and some of his childhood struggles. I was left completely impressed by his spirit, his accomplishments and his drive to succeed.

This week’s workout, designed by Dre, works our ENTIRE bodies in only two moves. Holy friggin’ amazeballs timesaver! I live for combo moves, and these two exercises hit all the spots we fret over the most – triceps, biceps, glutes, quads, chest, abs… the list goes on! – Single leg walkouts with pushup (5 reps each leg)
– Side plank kick-outs with pushup (5 reps each side)
– CHALLENGE: do 10 reps of each exercise
