You have to go inside. No matter what your goal, you have to go inside first. Health starts with what’s within – mentally, spiritually and physically. But you already know that. We all know how to get healthy, but what are the steps? Where do we start?
I opened up my own meditation practice to you this past month, and I hope that you’ve enjoyed it. I hope that you’ve been inspired to start meditating if you’ve never tried it before. The meditation videos don’t get as many views as my workouts, but that’s just fine with me. It’s not that I don’t love physical fitness, but I’ve made plenty of workout videos for now. The quality of my interactions with you since I’ve been making the meditation videos has been so amazing, there’s no way I can stop. It has never been about the numbers… the community is what drives me.
it all starts with connecting to your SELF
My love for our community is what compels me to go deeper. I want to go back to the source. I want to take you back to where I started – with meditation. I want you to go inside.
I wrote this on my Facebook page a few days ago:
When operating from a place of self-love and not from deprivation, denial or punishment, all eating and exercise decisions become easy, effortless, good and worthy of you. You deserve true health, so stop making the choices of a person who deserves less.
Meditation will take you to that place. It will allow you to get to know yourself on a deeper level and to build a loving relationship with your higher self, the self that deserves everything wonderful and clean and HEALTHY.
For the first day of 2013, I’m offering a meditation for detox to you. We are surrounded by so many toxins – in our food, floating in the air, through our relationships and interactions. Meditation is a wonderful way to cleanse ourselves of those toxins.
Another thing that I’m trying out for the very first time is a commercial cleanse. I’ve been familiar with the CLEAN program for years, and I know many of the amazing people behind it. Because I’ve always taken care of myself and managed my stress levels pretty well on my own, I’ve never felt the need for an intense cleanse. I’ve done juice fasts and cleanses in the past as quick fix-me-ups, but my diet or habits have never been so off-track that a good weekend of rest and clean eating could make everything right again.
The past few months have changed all of that. I’m not saying that I’ve fallen apart. Emotionally and spiritually, I’m on Cloud Nine. But I know that the weird hours, lack of sleep, long commute to work, and sometimes less-than-perfect eating habits have left me little off-kilter physically.
I’m also not saying that I’m too busy to put together my own cleanse, but I just don’t feel like focusing my energy on that this month. There are so many new projects to explore that I don’t want my diet dominating my head-space. So after getting Mr. Borucki to agree to take on the role of BexLife guinea pig/adventure partner once again, I reached out to my friends at CLEAN to see if they would want to participate in my grand experiment. They’re awesome, so they said yes. And what’s even more awesome is that they offered a cleanse to one of my BexLifers. I’ll post details on the giveaway after Justin and I have completed week one of the 21-day program (around mid-January). I want you to see a little of my experience to make sure that this is something that you would truly be interested in trying out.
the best #FitRomance partner a girl could ask for
Please take just four short minutes to rid yourself of some yucky energetic toxins. Then let me know how it went! Do you have tricks for cleansing yourself of those invisible toxins that keep your mood gauge on low? Dr. Wayne Dyer says that low-energy of others can’t bring your high-energy down… you can only lift those with low-energy up. We choose to change ourselves and the way we behave around people with lower energy, which makes it seem like they are the ones bringing us down. What do you think?
PS – Ever wonder what happens right before I shoot your videos? Here’s a little behind-the-scenes pic from this morning. Yes, that’s a video still of me in the background taking an instagram pre-video selfie while Baby Summer “helps” her daddy focus the camera for me. Bunch of clowns!
